What makes shoreline doors different from wooden garage doors?
Shoreline doors have the appearance of wood without the maintenance – giving you authentic beauty without rot, warping, or regular staining.
How durable are Shoreline doors?
Built with 2.5-inch thick, 2-sided steel construction (27 gauge) and polyurethane insulation, shoreline doors are have superior strength and thermally efficiency.
Will the overlay peel over time?
C.H.I. uses high-performance adhesives to laminate the overlays to steel sections. Shoreline overlays carry a 3-year warranty, and door sections have a limited lifetime warranty. The overlays are engineered to withstand harsh weather including moisture, humidity, and UV exposure.
Can shoreline doors handle extreme weather?
Yes. The steel construction provides excellent structural integrity while polyurethane insulation and composite overlays withstand moisture, humidity, UV rays, and temperature extremes. The thickness of steel and high R-value will maintain stable garage temperatures year-round.
How realistic does the wood grain look?
Very! We created our woodtones using natural wood variations, knots, and grain patterns for authenticity. Order a free sample to see for yourself.
Buying, warranty & service
Can I buy directly from C.H.I.?
All C.H.I. doors, parts and accessories are sold through the network of authorized C.H.I. dealers — like us. We install and service them with the same quality C.H.I. builds them with.
Can I order a custom color?
Yes — C.H.I. offers in-house powder coating in 188 colors, plus color-matching for custom colors. Custom colors may add lead time and cost, and availability varies by model. Ask us for options.
What's the warranty?
C.H.I. doors come with a limited lifetime warranty (coverage varies by model — sections, hardware and springs have their own terms). No registration is needed; claims are handled through your local dealer.
What garage door openers do you offer?
We offer residential openers from LiftMaster and Linear, and can supply, install and service them together with your new door.
Can I finance my door?
Yes — simple financing is available for homeowners. Ask us and we will walk you through the options.
Do you offer wind-load rated doors?
C.H.I. offers a range of wind-load rated products, though it does not currently hold Miami-Dade certification. Ask us about wind-rated options for your area.
Can I paint or touch up my door?
Most doors come pre-finished. You can repaint them, and touch-up paint — matched to Sherwin-Williams formulas — is available for every standard color through your dealer.
